Jocelyn Moore currently holds the position of Second Oboe with Symphony in C and is the oboist of the Whitman Winds. She has also performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, Richmond Symphony Orchestra, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, Wilmington Ballet, Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra, and more. In addition to these groups, Jocelyn has also performed with a number of notable contemporary artists such as Amy Grant, Hanson, and Boyz II Men.
Outside of her career as a performer, Jocelyn is a strong advocate for music education. She maintains a private teaching studio and is the Education and Outreach Manager for Symphony in C, where she works to bring music programs to schools throughout Camden and North Philadelphia. She was also previously on the staff of Temple Music Preparatory Division’s Center for Gifted Young Musicians and the faculty of Play On, Philly!.
Jocelyn received a Bachelor of Music degree from Duquesne University and a Master of Music degree from Temple University. Her primary teachers include Peter Smith and James Gorton.
